Homeless families in crisis face a difficult choice: stay together living on the street, in a car, or with a family member, or separate in order to qualify for most emergency shelter programs. Family Shelter offers another option. Established in 1979, we’re the only agency in the Midlands that keeps families together, providing emergency shelter in a stable living environment and helping them build the life skills they need to regain independence. By strengthening the family, we strive for our program participants to move to a life of independence.
Family Shelter is a primary program of Homeless No More http://www.homelessnomoresc.org, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to the offering of a seamless continuum of services and housing to homeless and at-risk families in the midlands of South Carolina.
